Prosciutto Canapés With Cornichon Skewers
Prosciutto Canapés Cornichon Skewers is easy to prepare and quite delicious when served on sandwich bread. Perfect bouchée for your next cocktail party.
Ingredients
Makes 12 Canapés
- 6 slices white sandwich bread
- 2 small cornichons, sour gherkins cut into ¼ inch slices
- 6 slices cured ham such as Parma, San Danielle or Serrano
- 2 tablespoons butter, soft
- 6 small cherry tomatoes, halved
- 6 small pitted black olives
- 12 wooden toothpicks
Instructions
- Make the toast: Cut the crust off the sandwich bread slices. Butter the bread and cover each slice with the ham. Stack the two slices and cut into four rectangles.
- Make the kebabs: On a toothpick, skewer a half cherry tomato, a half olive and a slice of cornichon.
